Publication of Oral History Theory in Persian

“Oral History Theory” by Lynn Abrams, translated by Fathali Ashtiani was published by the Office of Islamic Revolution Literature and Soureh Mehr Publication in 2018. The book is structured in 421 pages and eight chapters: the introduction transforms the applicable approach to theoretic, the characteristics of oral history, self, subjectivity, intersubjectivity, memory, narrative, performance and power. Couple of forewords and introductions precede the eight chapters and then followed by the references used to compile the eight chapters of the book.

In the last days of winter of 2009, I listened to words of Sardar (Second Brigadier General and higher) Behrouz Esbati in secretariat building of the Festival for Quarter-Century of Holy Defense Book, in Hafte Tir Square in Tehran. We first conversed a little about the quarter-century festival, and then, more than an hour and a half, of formation of the war poem congress.

Narration of life through oral history

According to the website of Iranian Oral History, “News of the Month” is a title of a series of reports in this site. The reports take a look at the news related to the sites subject in written and cyber media. What follows is the news of Tir 1397 in the Iranian solar calendar (June 22 to July 22, 2018). In this month, the oral history works were welcomed so warmly that the media resorted to produce news, reports and interviews about the books.

Mentioning the name, academic background and email is necessary. Articles with complete references and bibliography are more credited and an abstract would quite helpful.
