Oral History of Laborers

In the 60s, when oral history was stepping up, women, workers, and those deprived of education became central to the reconstruction of the silent past and the lost worlds. For nearly three decades, and then up to date, in different orders of priority in oral history, these social strata have played a major role in the work of oral historians of the industrial community.

Revising a Conversation

Narrating was made of suffering

It is not narrating one or two days. Story is story of eight years of attendance; Keeping pace with; experiencing bites and sweets. There they both taught and learned. At that time, all skills were applicable together. Sometimes they harked and sometimes did lip reading. They kept up with commander unarmed, and sometimes they did not arrive at the attendance in war alleyways. Sometimes they laugh at others and sometimes others at them.

The books "The Custom of Jihad ", "One another Person" and" from Mashhad to Johannesburg" have been recently issued at bookstores. These books are in two common features; first, these are resulted from a number of interviews. That is why, they include memory and oral history.

In remembrance of Dr. Hossain Ardestani
