The Islamic Revolution Document Center is an institute active in collecting the history of the Islamic revolution. The result of the institutes efforts is the collection of a significant number of written documents, photos, negatives, audio and video of the events across the country, and the publication of a number of books on a variety of topics. The center now has one of the richest archives in the field of the history of the Islamic Revolution.

Amir Aslan Afshar, the son of Colonel Amir Massoud Afshar Ghassemlou (one of the militants of the king Reza Shah era) was born on November 22, 1919, in Tehran. he went to Germany In 1935, and after four years graduated from Hindenburg High School in Berlin. He then received a bachelor degree in law from the University of Geneva in Switzerland and a doctorate in political science from the University of Vienna in Austria.
