According to the website of Iranian Oral History, the 278th part from the series “The Night of Memory” was held on Thursday evening 24th of Farvardin 1396 (April 13, 2017) in Sooreh Hall of the Art Center. In this show which was held on the occasion of the Art Week of the Islamic Revolution and martyrdom anniversary of Seyed Morteza Avini, Hossein Keivan Nia, Ahmad Haeri and Masoud Samadi retold their memoirs.

Research-oriented oral history; Legacy of Hossein Ardestani

The passing news of Dr. Hossein Ardestani, Head of Holy Defense Documents & Research Center in the early days of the new year was a mishap for the researchers and authors active in the field of studies of the Iraq imposed war against Iran. He dedicated his young years of life to pursuing the commanders of the Holy Defense and recording operations. Also, in his position as the head of Holy Defense Documents Centers he was responsible for many successes for this research institute.

Characteristics of an Interviewer

Interviewers shall not perceive such activity as an occupation with mere financial objectives. Oral history has to be a cultural and social mission with deep roots in the history and heritage of a society and nation. It is essential for the oral history interviewer to have sufficient knowledge on the subject. Lack of scientific knowledge and information not only hinders his/her understanding of the memoir but also prevents the interviewer from asking the right questions and steering the interview in the right direction.

Mentioning the name, academic background and email is necessary. Articles with complete references and bibliography are more credited and an abstract would quite helpful.
