277th night Memory

According to Iranian Oral History website in, 277th meeting of series of memory night was held in Sooreh Hall of Hozeh Honari in the evening February 23, 2017. In the meeting, Mostafa Karimpanah, Ahmad Qasemibayan and Reza Safarzadeh expressed their memories of Operation Dawn-8 and reviewed days of Sacred Defense. First images of the operation were showed, photos that had not been published in any media. Members of Army 10 of Seyed Al-Shohada had brought the images.

The book section of Iranian Oral History Website has reviewed two books in the last days of the Iranian year 1395 SH (2016-17) which have been published this year. The feature of both books is that they are reminiscent. They are reminiscent of the characters and individuals who are the legacy of the Sacred Defense. The books writers (one Iranian and the other Japanese) somehow remind us how we have looked at them.

Approaches on Rationalization

Looking at books published on various categories including “Oral History”, “Oral Memoirs”, “Memories” and their approach in rationalization, content volume used to rationalize and references made, we see significant differences all starting from ground zero. In some cases, the volume of footnotes and end-notes presented in the last chapter of the book exceed the main body of content! In case such approach has a scientific backbone then it is good; however, there is hardly an affirmative reason.

Reported by Iranian Oral History Website, 11th professional session of oral history titled "National Conference of Compiling in Oral History" was held by NLI Research Institute of Documents and Association of Iran Oral History, Iranian Society of History, Women Researchers Society of History, Guild Association of History Researchers and officials of oral history agencies and those interested in this subject at National Archives building of NLI on Monday February 27, 2017.
