Critique Oral History Works to Prevent Repetition of Past Errors

The call for papers for the Fourth National Conference on Oral History of Sacred Defense and Resistance comes at a time when over 30 years of experience in publishing oral histories of the war have accumulated. Given the substantial quantity and quality of these works, it is now time for a thorough critique and evaluation.

The 359th Night of Memory – 3

The 359th Night of Memory program was held on July 25 of 2024 in the Surah Hall of the Islamic Revolution Art Center with the narration of the freedmen of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army under the title of "Closed Door Period". In this program, Amirs Mahmoud Najafi, Hossein Yasini and Amir Brigadier Ahmed Dadbin shared their memories. Dawood Salehi was in charge of performing this night of memory.

On that day [9th of Dey 1357 in Mashhad – December 30, 1978], the whole city was in chaos; the hospitals, the shops, and in addition to these, the movie theatre was burning in fire. Even, I heard that some people had gone and set fire some centers such as "Iran-America Society" or the ones connected to the foreigners. The clashes continued till almost sunset.
