Hamed Razi'ei has translated ‘La russie de pierre le grand a nos jours,’ or ‘Russia from Peter the Great to Our Time’, penned by Jean-Paul Scot, into Persian. The book is published by Amir Kabir Publishing House.
IBNA: 'The History of Russia from Peter the Great to Our Time (Putin)', written by Jean-Paul Scot, makes a thorough survey of the governments and societies from Czarist Russia to the Union of Soviet Socialist Republic and then the Russian Federation.
The gigantic land has faced ups and downs from Peter the Great to Lenin and now Putin, struggling with the opposites, tumults and social unrest. The present book pays a particular attention to the social aspects of the Russian history," said the translator Seyyed Hamed Raziei.
He added: "The book addresses various questions such as how the Czarist Russia was substituted by the USSR, why the USSR fell apart only 75 years after the downfall of Czarism, why the autocratic power of the Czar was cast away by the councils, how an old society – of Czarist Russia – passively gave in to the power of proletariat, how could the Pun-Russian nationalism compromise with the Proletarian internationalism. The book tries to provide an answer to all questions of the sort."
He added that the book is organized in three parts under the headings of 'The Czarist Russia', 'Russia in Times of War and Revolution', and 'The Union of Soviet Socialist Republic' and through its 19 chapters it tends to answer the key question why the Russian ruling system broke apart after 300 years and why Russians had no way other than Communism, why it collapsed again after 75 years and stepped in a new political life.
The first edition of 'The History of Russia from Peter the Great to Our Time (Putin)' is published in 384 pages and 1000 copies by Amir Kabir Publishing House.
