Memories by the wives of Sacred Defense captives

Manager of the Resistance Office of the Howzeh Honari announced that a memoir is about to be published on the accounts by the wives of captives of the Sacred Defense.

IBNA: The captives were members of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran whose particulars were never listed by the Red Cross.

Seyyed Mehdi Abtahi said as many 400 officers of the Islamic Republic of Iran army were captured at Tikrit Camp19. Among them, only the married captives during their detention are considered in the book. "At the beginning of the project interviews were done from the wives of ten of the captives."

He said the memories include the wives' first meetings with their husbands, their last leave, and farewells.

He went on to say that many documentaries have been so far produced out of such memories.

The book has been compiled by a number of Sacred Defense memoir writers and is about to be published by Soure Mehr. Mehdi Abtahi and Amir Mehr-rizan have done the interviews.
