Praise be to Allah who is exceptionally wise and owns the former Grace
First of all, I congratulate publishing the 100th issue Mr. Karimi, the decent editor of Iranian Oral History Website and all his hardworking colleagues and all the ones who like this weekly and I ask God for greater successes and reaching of this young tree to reach richer fruits and long life. I should also remind the persistence endeavors of Mr. Mohsen Kazemi, the founder of this online journal which deserves long life and development.
In this note, as it has been asked I just present short notes, since if it was possible and advisable, I had to write openly any say whatever I could. And then:
1- The existence of this website-whatever it is now- is important and necessary and should survive. However, the question is there is gap between what it is now and what it could possibly be, and not it should be. Passing this gap needs “knowledge” and “ability” beside each other and the will of officials to pursue the matter.
2- The future horizon and ideal for this website, as I believe, are the ones I noted in my speech on inauguration ceremony for this website which was based on “three aspects of Oral History”. I refer the readers of this short note to read that speech again.
3- Right now, among the subjects and the goals of this weekly, the news section is more notable than other parts but there is an essential need for researching articles critiques and ideas exchange and particularly training or educational matters. However, there are some emotional literary ideas and texts that occasionally fill the place of historical researches! Although “history” is not free of misunderstandings, but the principal base for understanding history is “wisdom” and “tolerance” and is not achieved by reactionary justifications and assimilations. “You should look for knowledge not the legend.” Coming out the universe of Literary Memories and entering the boundaries of History needs to pass a way that requires history-understanding and history-researching knowledge step by step.
4- And …
