The Sweet Lesson

Freeing Khorramshahr was not the first punch received by strong Iraqi army. Previously this army had been trembled for some times; but the punch on 24th of May 1982 was something that should have never happened for Iraqis. They would not believe that one day they would by stuck that much hard in a big trouble in a small but so important port. That day, the Iraqi army pride was smashed under the feet of Iranian soldiers and it was something that should have never happened to them.
This pride was one of capitols of this army. From the days that they could occupy some important Iranian lands, this pride was a complement for the Iraqi army that Baath Party had inserted pan-Arab feelings in it. They felt they were defending the Arab lands and by defeating Iranians and changing the geopolitics of district can revive the lost Arab glory. Iraqis considered themselves as savors of Arab history; because they thought Arabs owe their glory to Iraqis and when Iraq is strong, the Arabs are strong either and hold their heads upward in the world.
For the world who has prepared this army to fight against Iran, penetrating this unreal task and keeping this pride was in the first grade of importance. They were sure that arming Iraq with illegal arms had no harm for themselves. The world’s arsenal was serving Iraqi army. They only needed pride and wish to use these weapons.
When Khorramshahr was freed, the world understood how determined the Iranians are when defending their land and young revolution. At the same time the world military strategists by analyzing the Iraqi situation understood if Iranians continue this way of fighting, soon they would finish the war and also overthrow the Saddam dictatorship. It was not what they wished.
With this reason in mind, the world started to repair Iraqi army and the so called pride. They covered the weaknesses of Iraqi army. They persuaded the little Sheikhdoms in Persian Gulf region to pay more money to the Iraqi army. They showed the green light for bombing Iranian cities and oil tankers and vast usage of chemical weapons. They served Iraq by the latest reports of CIA from Iranian fronts in order to revive that ethno-party pride among Iraqi soldiers.
The world’s attempts resulted well in repairing Iraqi army to some high degrees. A look on the history of operations in war fronts from 1982 till 1985 that the port of Faw was captured by Iranian soldiers, Iraqi army could stymie some Iranian operations by this military and spiritual repairing or at least minimize their success.
This is our word:
All the military strategists of the world who had visited Iraqi fortifications in Khorramshahr believed that freeing this port by Iranians was an unreachable dream. The confrontation of satanic pride and heavenly pride once again taught us precious lessons which their words are also readable and sweet for solving the problems of Iran today.
