Iranian Studies Faculty of Meybod  University
Public Relations Department of the faculty reported that Dr. Mansour Tarafdari, Manager of Iranology Faculty has announced the first scientific conference to be held in spring of 2015 and said: After many Iranian Studies Festivals held during past years, it was recommended by the President of the university to organize a scientific conference. The University Council approved the conference to be held in collaboration with Meybodi Foundation, Ministry of Interior, Iranology Foundation, University of Yazd and some other universities and research centers.

First Topic Basis: Iranian Studies’ Issues
-  Definition of Iranian Studies, its frameworks, fields, study areas of Iranian Studies faculty
- Review of Iranian Studies topics of BS, MS and PHD degrees
- Causes and mental, political, economic factors contributing to the attention and efforts towards Iranian Studies (at domestic and international levels)
- Methodology and research methodology in Iranian Studies faculty
- Current status of Iranian Studies in Iran and global level, importance and methods of development of Iranian Studies’ Centers in the world.
- Review of domestic and international Iranian Studies in one of the historical eras of Iran.
- Comparative study of domains and schools of Iranian Studies in the world, pathology of indigenous and foreign Iranian Studies.
Second Topic Basis: Culture and Customs
- Effect of ancient Iranian languages (Median, Scythian, Avestan and ancient Persian)- Medieval Iranian (Parthian Pahlavi- Sasanian Pahlavi), Contemporary Iran (Kurdish, Balochi, Bakhtiari, Turkmen, etc) in developing Iranian culture

A) Scientific Features of the Articles
Submitted articles shall adhere to the following criteria for approval;
1- They should be topic based.
2- They should be scientific- research studies.
3- Have credible references.
4- Be innovative.
5- Analyze and review documentaries and topics properly.
6- Have proper and presentable conclusions.
B) Structure Arrangement Methodology:
In provision of the article the following pattern shall be complied with:
1- Full information of the author of authors (Name, Surname, Scientific Degree, University and Religious Degree, Specialty) along with email and postal address and contact information (cellphone and landline) and it should contain a topic page.
2- The language should be Farsi, Arabic or English.
3- The article shall contain: summary, key words, introduction, outline, discussion, conclusion, recommendation, and reference content.
4- Every article shall contain a summery – maximum 300 words- and at the end of the summary three to five key words shall be presented.
5- Summary shall include: objectives, study methodology, main achievements and conclusions.
6- Please avoid foreign language expressions in cases where there is a Farsi equivalent available and in case of necessity, English equivalent of the word shall be indicated in brackets.
7- Key descriptions shall be presented in footnotes.
8- References in the article shall be made in parenthesis (APA method including surname of the author, yea; page):
- Sample of reference to a source written by a single author: Forouzan Far, 1990: 89) and for sources with multiple authors’ contribution: (Ditcher et al., 1990:68)
9- At the end of the article, the reference list shall be provided in alphabetic order using Farsi, Arabic or English orders adherent to APA method:
- Sample of reference to authored books: Surname, Name of the author(s) (Publication year) Book Title (Number of Edition or Publication); Publication Center, Publisher.
- Sample of reference to translated books: (Surname, Name of the author(s) (Translation year) Book Title in Farsi (Name and Surname of the translator; Publication Center, Publisher.
- Sample of reference to publications: (Surname, Name of the author(s) (Publication Year) Article Title: Publication Name; Period or year, Number, Date of publication, page number).
- Sample of reference to internet sources: (Surname, Name of the author(s) (Publication Year) Article Title; (Indicate OnLine), Full address, Date of access to the article .
10- The volume of the articles shall be 25 – A4 pages with a font size of 13 where in Farsi scripts the font shall be B Nazanin, In Arabic scripts it shall be B Badr and in English scripts it shall be Times New Roman.
11- Article providers shall refer to the conference website at www.iranshenasimeybod.ir ; or email iranshenasimeybod@gmail.com and submit their summaries and consequently the full article.
12- Electronic version of the article shall be in word or pdf format.
Important:
1- Selected articles shall be published as per the discretion of the jury.
2- Only articles shall be reviewed which are not formerly published and the author is not under contractual commitment to any other publisher.
3- Submitted articles shall not be returned.

Rules of Selection:
The articles shall be assessed by the scientific board of the conference and selected articles shall be acknowledged. These articles shall be assessed based on the following indicators at three levels: scientific- technical, scientific-advocacy and scientific- research. The criteria and indicators of selection are:
1. Importance of the issue
2. New issues
3. Fluency and simple writing style
4. Adequacy of volume
5. Relevance of issues
6. Cohesion of topics with content
7. Provision of a proper introduction in a scientific method
8. Provision of methodology in a scientific and precise manner
9. Provision of proper discussion and issue analysis
10. Provision of references adherent to relevant standards.
